Frequently Asked Questions
Why is a mesh system better than a range extender? ⌄
A range extender often creates a separate network and roughly halves speed. The nova EX3 gives you one network, and your phone moves to whichever node is closest automatically. Over wireless backhaul some speed is still shared between nodes; connect nodes with Ethernet for the best speed.
Will 3 nodes cover a 10-marla Pakistani bungalow? ⌄
Usually yes. It covers up to 3,500 sq ft, enough for most 10-marla and double-storey homes. Thick concrete walls reduce range, so place nodes where each can still see a good signal from the previous one.
Do the nodes need Ethernet cable between them? ⌄
No, nodes connect wirelessly. If you have Ethernet between rooms, connect it for better performance.
Can I add more nodes later? ⌄
Yes. Additional EX3 nodes can be added via the Tenda WiFi app.
Will it work with StormFiber, Nayatel, or PTCL? ⌄
Yes. The primary node connects to your ISP's modem or ONT via Ethernet. Set it up in the Tenda WiFi app and enter PPPoE credentials if required.
