Does the DL50FVS store my face photos? β
No. The DL50FVS does not store original face images. It only stores processed facial model data locally on the device's built-in security chip, so your actual photos never leave the lock or get uploaded anywhere.
How is the DL50FVS different from the DL03 or DL05? β
The DL03 and DL05 are simpler rim/mortise locks using fingerprint, PIN, app, and key access. The DL50FVS is EZVIZ's flagship model β it adds 3D facial recognition, a built-in video doorbell with two-way calling, a 4-inch color screen, and a radar presence sensor, making it a combined lock, camera, and doorbell in one unit.
Can it recognize a photo or video instead of a real face? β
No. The dual-lens 3D in-depth sensing technology is built to distinguish real human faces from photos, videos, or masks, so it won't unlock for a static image held up to the camera.
What happens if the battery runs out? β
The lock gives you a low-battery warning well in advance and runs up to 4 months per charge. If it does die completely, you can connect a power bank via the Type-C emergency charging port for instant emergency unlocking, or use the included mechanical key.
What door thickness does the DL50FVS support? β
This model (5085) supports door thickness between 30mm and 110mm, which covers the vast majority of wooden and metal main doors used in Pakistani homes.
