🔧 How to Install
- Get a Nano SIM card with a data plan from any local carrier, or plan a cable run to an Ethernet port instead.
- Pick an outdoor mounting spot with power access, ideally 2.5–3 meters high, within cellular signal range.
- Use the included drill template to mark and drill mounting holes; apply the waterproof kit at all cable joints.
- Secure the bracket, insert the SIM card (or connect Ethernet), and connect power.
- Add the camera to the EZVIZ app via QR code and confirm signal strength before finalizing the mount.
- Set detection zones, spotlight sensitivity, and siren settings in the app, then test day and night footage.

Does this camera work with Wi-Fi? ⌄
No. The H8c 4G is built specifically for locations without Wi-Fi. It connects only via a 4G Nano SIM card with a data plan, or a wired Ethernet (RJ45) connection. If you need a Wi-Fi camera instead, ask us about our EZVIZ H8c or H9c Wi-Fi models.
Is a SIM card included? ⌄
No, a Nano SIM card and an active data plan from a local carrier are required separately and are not included in the box.
How much mobile data does it use? ⌄
Usage depends on video quality settings and how much motion the camera detects. H.265 compression reduces data use by up to 50% compared to older cameras, but a data plan suited for regular video streaming is recommended over a minimal/basic plan.
Can I use a memory card instead of a data plan? ⌄
A microSD card (up to 512GB, sold separately) stores footage locally on the camera even without a data plan. However, live remote viewing and instant alerts still require an active 4G connection or Ethernet.
