The Hikvision DS-KIS202 is a 2-wire villa video intercom kit with a 7-inch touchscreen indoor monitor. This is a wired analog system β the door station connects directly to the indoor monitor(s) via cable, with no app or phone access. How does the DS-KIS202 compare to the basic DS-KIS103? β
Both are wired analog systems with no app access. The DS-KIS202 upgrades to a larger 7-inch HD touchscreen and supports multiple indoor monitors β good for two-storey homes. The DS-KIS103 has a smaller, more basic monitor. Neither offers phone or app connectivity β for that, ask us about our IP-based intercom kits.
Can I add more than one screen at home? β
Yes β the DS-KIS202 supports adding additional wired indoor monitors, so you can have one upstairs and one downstairs, for example. This is separate from phone access, which this analog system doesn't support.
Does the DS-KIS202 record footage of visitors? β
No β this is a live-view wired system without built-in recording or microSD storage. It shows you who's at the door in real time on the indoor monitor, but does not keep a video log. If recording is important to you, ask us about our IP camera or NVR-based options.
Can it support multiple floors or apartment buildings? β
Supports adding multiple wired indoor monitors to a single outdoor station β suitable for two-storey homes or small offices. For multi-apartment buildings with many units, ask us about IP-based systems like the DS-KIS606-P or DS-KIS603-P instead.
